WHAT IS TOEFL:

It is of the acronym Test of English as a Foreign Language, Taking the TOEFL test is a very important part of your journey to studying in an English-speaking country or program.A Standardized Test, the Test of English as a Foreign Language assesses the English Proficiency of people, whose native language is not English.It tests the ability to understand North American English. Most Educational Institutes in the US and Canada(approximately 2400) ask applicants for their TOEFL Scores. HOW IT WORKS:

Most people take the TOEFL test as a prerequisite for admission into colleges and universities where English is used or required. In addition, many government, licensing, and certification agencies and exchange scholarship programs use TOEFL® scores to evaluate the English proficiency of people for whom English is not their native language.The test helps students demonstrate that they have the English skills needed for success while studying.

TOEFL LEGIBILITY:

The US-based “Educational Testing Service”(ETS), develops and administers the TOEFL®.ETS is responsible for setting questions, conducting the test and sending score reports to each examinee. Thus the result is recognized by all universities in any English Speaking country e.g USA.

TOEFL TEST STRUCTURE:

The TOEFL Internet-based Test tests all four language skills that are important for effective communication: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.All four sections are taken on the same day, and the entire test is about four hours long.

The structure of the TOEFL iBT is as follows:

• Reading (60-100 min) (36-70 questions) (0-30 scoring scale)
• Listening (60-90 min) (34-51 questions) (0-30 scoring scale)
• Speaking (20 min) (6 tasks) (0-4 points converted to 0-30 scoring scale)
• Writing (50 min) (2 tasks) (0-5 points converted to 0-30 scoring scale)

TOEFL ELIGIBILITY:

The test is open to all interested candidates nationwide who which to further their education in any English speaking country abroad e.g USA, Canada etc.

• Which Score is enough for me?
  Different universities have different requirement. Most universities in US require scores not less than 79.
• How Long it Takes Test Score To Be Delivered To Mailing Addresses?
  It takes 15 business days for test to be scored and 4-5 business days for the test to be delivered to mentioned universities.
• TOEFL Test Score Requirements?
  Rest assured, there’s no passing or failing score. Score requirements are established by individual colleges and universities; check your selected schools to learn their required TOEFL test scores. You will receive a score on each section (a score of 0-30), and a total score for the entire test (0-120).
• Getting My TOEFL Scores?
  Your scores will be posted online, usually within 10 days after the test date and extra 4-5 business days for the test scores to be delivered to the institution(s) indicated during the registration.
• How Long is my TOEFL Scores Valid?
  Educational Testing Services (ETS) will report scores for 2 years after your test date.
