WHAT IS JUPEB:

It stands for Joint Universities Preliminary Examination. It is a newly approved, proven and certified Advanced Level examination body proudly established and coordinated by the prestigious University of Lagos. Invariably, having coordinating body in various tertiary institutions and different affiliated study centres throughout the federation. JUPEB is specifically designed to give opportunity to candidates who are unable to gain admission to regular degree programme in the Nigerian universities for one cogent reasons or the other.

JUPEB PROGRAMME CREDIBILITY AND STRENGTH:

JUPEB is approved by the federal government of Nigeria as a legitimate platform for gaining admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria and even abroad. JUPEB has been proven to be worthy of reliable platform where nearly about 20,000 applicants applied for the programme and approximately more than 80% successfully gained admission with it into 200level to study their dream course in their preferred institution.

Also, this programme is certified by the Nigeria University Commission(NUC) as an Advanced Level Examination that qualify prospective students into 200level through direct entry Direct Entry(DE).

HOW JUPEB WORKS:

Prospective applicants for JUPEB are required to choose any three(3) A/L JUPEB subject combination identified with their preferred course of study in the university either,science,art or social science course. Thereafter, candidates will receive lectures for a stipulated period  of time before writing the final examination and at the end of the programme successful candidates shall be admited into 200level in any Nigerian tertiary institution via direct entry.

JUPEB examination is conducted in the second quarter of every year and the result are released in the Third quarter of same year for successful students to use to seek 200 levels direct entry admission into any university of their choice in their preferred course of study (Medicine, Law, Engineering, computer science, Mass communication, Accounting, Biochemistry, etc.).

JUPEB ELIGIBILITY VIA ORDINARY OR DIRECT ENTRY

The programme is widely open for all interested candidates through out Nigeria and any courses can be offered within the scope of science, arts and social sciences. Also, for the direct entry application, the candidates must have been taught extensively on the scheme of academic discipline relevant to his/her proposed university course.
