ANAMBRA STATE OVERVIEW:

Anambra is a state in southeastern Nigeria. It was derived from the name of an anglicized adaptation of the first 'Oma Mbala', the local name of the Anambra River. The capital and seat of government is Awka. Onitsha, Nnewi and Ekwulobia are the largest business and modern urban areas. The indigenous ethnic group in Anambra state are the Igbos accounting for over 97% of it population.
